Roles and badges within the Architect program

Architects: Roles

Roles & Badges

All roles are granted through an application process and are subject to periodic review.
Roles may be modified, paused, or reassigned based on activity, performance, and ecosystem needs.

Architect

Tier Access Required: Tier 1

Architects will be eligible to receive and display a digital Architect badge in recognition of their participation in the Architects program. If awarded, the badge will correspond to the Architect’s current tier status in the Architects program.

Community Moderator

Tier Access Required: Tier 2

Once an Architect reaches tier 2 status, they may apply to become a Community Moderator. Community Moderators are granted moderation privileges in Arc House and Discord. This includes the ability to moderate discussions and mark questions as accepted answers.
What Makes a Strong Community Moderator:
  • Consistent, high-quality participation in Arc House and/or Discord
  • Strong written communication and clarity in technical explanations
  • Fair and respectful judgment when moderating discussions

Meetup Organizer

Tier Access Required: Tier 2

Once an Architect reaches tier 2 status, they may apply to become a Meetup Organizer. Meetup Organizers can apply to host an Arc Community meetup. Arc Community meetups hosted by badge holders are independently organized and operated by the host in their personal capacity. Although Meetup Organizers may be eligible for reimbursements of certain expenses, all such events are independently organized and operated by the Meetup Organizer in their personal capacity.
What Makes a Strong Meetup Organizer:
  • Proven reliability through prior community contributions or smaller events 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to coordinate speakers, venues, and attendees
  • Clear communication with Arc team before and after events
Program Support
Eligible Architects may request reimbursement for pre-approved expenses incurred in hosting an Arc Community meetup. Reimbursement is not compensation for services.

Technical Speaker (2 Levels)

Tier Access Required: Tier 2

Once an Architect reaches tier 2 status, they may apply to become a Technical Speaker. Technical Speakers can speak about their experience building on Arc at meetups, hackathons, and events by delivering high quality content.
What Makes a Strong Technical Speaker:
  • Prior speaking experience or strong presentation samples
  • Relevant technical knowledge of the Arc ecosystem
  • Clear, confident communication
  • Ability to share context about Arc accurately and professionally

Tier Access Required: Tier 3

Once a Technical Speaker reaches tier 3 status, they will be automatically promoted to Senior Technical Speaker. Lead Technical Speakers create original content, lead workshops and sessions.
What Makes a Strong Senior Technical Speaker:
  • A track record of successfully delivering talks / workshops at Arc Community meetups
  • Ability to create original technical content
  • Deep expertise of the Arc ecosystem
Program Support Eligible Tier 3 speakers may request reimbursement for pre-approved expenses incurred while attending or traveling to an Arc Community event. Reimbursement is not compensation for services.

Regional Lead Badge (2 levels: City + Country)

Tier Access Required: Tier 4 (City lead), Tier 5 (Country lead)

In certain cities and countries, the Arc team may designate a Regional Lead that is a stand out community Architect facilitator. This Regional Lead may help connect Architects in their region with the Arc team and community opportunities.
This role is intended to support community coordination rather than creation. It may include opportunities to facilitate  monthly syncs, supporting regional Architects, reporting, and helping keep regional initiatives structured and aligned.
What Makes a Strong Regional Lead
  • Strong connections in their region to their tech community (founders, developers, etc.)
  • Strong connections to universities, incubators, startup hubs / tech hubs, blockchain labs in their region
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Reliability and willingness to coordinate teams
  • Helpful and respectful approach to community interactions
  • Ability to handle light community moderation
Program Support 
Eligible Architects (Tier 5 Regional Country Lead) may request reimbursement for pre-approved expenses incurred when traveling to the Architect Builder Summit (coming soon). Reimbursement is not compensation for services.

Architects are independent Arc community participants and are not employees or agents of Circle Technology Services, LLC ("CTS"), any of its affiliates or the Circle Arc team (collectively, "Circle"). Participation in the Architects program does not create any employment, agency, partnership, joint venture, fiduciary, or other formal relationship with Circle. Architects may not make statements on behalf of Circle, unless expressly authorized in writing to do so. Architects may not bind Circle in any respect. Certain roles or opportunities are subject to additional terms and prior approval.
